Describe what you see: In this photo there is a shack that appears to be owned by Coca-Cola. It's located in the dessert in the middle of nowhere. It looks abandoned and run down.
What do you notice first?: I notice the empty streets. This stands out to me because during the Great Depression people couldn't afford to go shopping for extra goods, and this picture depicts this state of economy in the era.
What people and objects are shown?: There's a shack, and a telephone line which means the area isn't terribly poor but no terribly rich either. Also, this shack is located in the country because there's open space and trees around the property.
Why do you think this image was made?: This image was made to represent the way The Great Depression influenced businesses.
What’s happening in the image?: Nothing's happening but the shack is sitting there and has no current business.
When do you think it was made?: I think this image was made in the 1900s because Coca- Cola is a more modern company and it wouldn't be around in the 1800s.

What people and objects are shown?: There are people sitting on the sidewalk talking to eachother, as well as a car that looks trashed parked on the edge of the sidewalk.
How are they arranged?: The people are sitting on wooden bleachers outside what appears to be an old factory building. It looks like the middle of the day because of the lighting, also it looks to be in the winter becuase of all the extra clothing draped on the men.
What is the physical setting?: The physical setting is in Alabama. There's a beaten up building towering over the pedestrians. The sign to the entrance of the building is faded as well as the windows are cracked and road is paved unevenly.
What’s missing from this image?: This imageis missing glass in the windows.
If someone made this today, what would be different?: If someone made this today then the car would be more modern, there would be glass in the windows, and the men would be wearing jearns, scarfs, and mittens and not suites. Also, the roads would be paved more evenly as well as the buildings would appear more modren.
What would be the same?: The telephone pole in the image would be the same, and the location of the image would be the same.
Who?: Poor men outside of a building.
When?: During the winter.
Where? Alabama.
